Ramp Gallery is a provider of unique music-related art. Through our efforts to locate and acquire Rock, Alternative, Metal and Punk event flyers and posters, which represent over 30 years of history, this site serves as both an online shop as well as a reference for the art within this specialized genre. Designed, and used, to promote musical events, our collection of 11x17 (and smaller) offset and Xerox flyers date back to the late-seventies and run through current day. We believe that this specific type of work deserves a special place in the art world- or at least your world. These works decorated the cities of Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Salem, Eugene, Olympia and others, while serving as a spotlight to what was happening on any given night of the week. Most of the works within this category are very limited in their availability as most all of the copies printed were truly used as promotional vehicles, then posted over and discarded following the event they advertised. Many of us can vividly recall seeing city workers removing multi-inch thick layers of these flyers off telephone poles throughout the cityscape. Suffice it to say, few survived, except those that landed into the hands of an admirer of the band or the artwork itself. Most all of the inventory we have acquired came directly from the artists’ personal collections. While some of our works were posted and contain holes, folds and stains, most were never posted and are in excellent condition. Please take the time to read our section on Grading (below). All of our art is guaranteed to be authentic and original. We do not copy or reproduce any artwork.

- Contemporary larger format silkscreen, lithograph and offset posters which identify various concerts/events that took place in the same regions as noted above, as well as expanded territories throughout the US.

- Representative artists whose work, while perhaps not music-related, embodies a style that fits with our customers’ artistic interests.

Grading key:

 

1. Well-worn condition. In these cases item was likely posted, and can be virtually tattered. Tears, holes, folds, stains, tape, weather damage, or any combination thereof, present
2. Clear wear. Perhaps a fold or small hole; certain areas may show some edge damage; perhaps small areas with minor staining, but still in generally good condition
3. Evidence of minor handling or wear (such as edge wear, small bend at corner, small smudge, or minor wrinkling), but still in great condition.
4. Like new, or close to like new. May show very minor evidence of handling and/or age. May have minor edge wear but be graded a 4 in the event an edge could easily be trimmed without evidence (should purchaser choose to do so).
